Solo Show - Brian Sinfield Gallery, Burford

Joanna May

11th - 24th June, a Solo Show was held in Oxfordshire at the Brian Sinfield Gallery Burford called 'Eye of the Beholder'. 24 new original paintings were produced for this show up to 9ft long. The new subject was the Black Leopard.

The show was a real success with over half the originals selling and several prints. A Black Leopard Original sold to an Art Bank 'Tempest Radford' before the doors opened which they then sold on to a corporate buyer at a higher price, putting the value of the originals up.

 

 

 

 

BBC 'Spring Watch' programme

5th June she appeared on the BBC 'Spring Watch' programme starring Bill Oddy and Kate Humble to talk about her work and 'Why the Hare?'. The new Zodiac Series was launched through this programme with the unvailing of the first painting 'Gemini Hare', one of 12 depicting the star signs and the Hare.

On the 4th and the 5th June 2006 Joanna was invited to talk about her up and coming appearance on Spring Watch on Wiltshire Radio just before it was aired on television.
