May – July 2010

Joanna May was invited to paint a 6ft fiberglass Elephant for the charity ‘Elephant Family’ to raise money to save the endangered Asian Elephant. There were 250 Elephants painted by artists and celebrities and positioned around London in May – July 2010. The Event was called the Elephant Parade and Joanna’s Elephant was placed outside the National Theatre on the Southbank. The Elephants were then auctioned through Sotheby’s and raised over £4 million for the Asian Elephant.
