Moon Gazing Hare
The Moon Gazing Hare follows on from Star Gazing Hare. They make a matching pair one representing the stars, the other, the moon.
This painting is based on the Hackpen White Horse located close to Royal Wootton Basset in Wiltshire.
The constellations in the sky are Pegasus, the winged horse and Lepus the hare. The ghosting of the hare can be seen in the moon.
The straw bales are purposely square to follow on from Pegasus which is marked by the Great Square of Pegasus.
