March 2015 – Awareness of the Hare

This exhibition held at Joanna’s home in Keevil unveiled some new modern hare paintings and drawings along with her whole series of hare prints. She also unveiled for the first time her popular series of the Seasonal Hare as packs of gift cards. Supported by Wiltshire Wildlife Trust, their fundraising manager Michele Gard delighted us all with an enlightening talk on the Hare.

Plans are well underway for my next event focusing on the Hare and showcasing my latest Hare painting.  Click here to view more details.  I am delighted that once again, I will be supported by Wiltshire Wildlife Trust and they will be presenting a talk on the the Hare at 12 pm The exhibition will unveil a new collection of Hare paintings and drawings created in a modern way, including a new concept using words for shading.  My series of collectible Traditional, Zodiac and Modern Hare prints will be available and my new collection of Hare cards will be revealed! In addition, I will be selling ceramic and miniature hares from Pippa Hill, plus Amy Lancaster’s hares made from garden implement’s and old farm machinery. Durer Hare by Joanna May. Joaanna's version of the famous painting by German artist Albrecht Dürer in 1502 of the hare. The painting is made out of the word Durer repeated over and over again to create shading.

It’s official – I have opened a gallery in Devizes!

A smaller gallery in Devizes , Wiltshire called Joanna May Art and Gifts – so everyone can afford to invest in a piece of Joanna May. My art will be complimented with my cards, beautiful wire sculpture by Rachel Ducker, ceramic and miniature hares from Pippa Hill, the ‘oh so collectible’, Loco Glassware and Amy Lancaster‘s hares made from  garden implement’s and old farm machinery.  All these gifts and works of art are so so cool and funky, you will just love them. I am so looking forward to opening the doors on Thursday 4th December 2014 and staying open for late night shopping in Devizes, Wiltshire. Christmas Opening Weekend – 6/7 December 2014

March 2014 – Art and Interior Exhibition

Joanna May Art and Interior Exhibition held on Saturday 29th March 2014 in her home near to Devizes Wiltshire. Joanna was delighted to have guest speaker Paul Martin, presenter from BBC’s ‘Flog It’ at the exhibition.

October 2013- Animals Asia Charity Auction

This event, in October 2013, was the launch of my series of Moon Bear paintings and auctioning prints and paintings to support the Animals Asia charity raising awareness and funds to help end bear farming for bile in China and Vietnam. The day was attended by Animals Asia founder and CEO Jill Robinson MBE with actress Rula Lenska and “Flog It” presenter Paul Martin generously donating their time to help me with this worthy cause.

November 2012 -The Iconic Animals of London Zoo

Joanna May’s solo show titled ‘The Iconic Animals of London Zoo’ held at The Savoy in London and celebrated David Attenborough’s sixty years in wildlife television. The show was opened by wildlife television presenter Michaela Strachan and attended by the actress Rula Lenska

October 2011 – The Chris Packham Exhibition

The Chris Packham Exhibition, October 2011. Joanna held an exhibition of her work in her beautiful chapel/school house, opened by the TV wildlife presenter Chris Packham. Chris auctioned off one of Joanna’s paintings to help raise funds for his girlfriend Charlotte Corney’s zoo on the Isle of White. Chris also presented a talk on conservation.
