This painting follows on from Holly Hare and it is as if it is only moments later and the Holly has fallen further, but our eyes have zoomed in the on the male hare only; the smaller hare.

From the Seasonal Hare Series, this painting led to the BBC making contact with Joanna inviting her to be a guest on the first series of BBC’s Spring Watch in 2006 to explain why the hare was so popular.
