Moon Bear – Crescent Moon

The Moon Bear is holding a crescent moon with a selection of words from a poem written by Rula Lenska, ‘I pray the world will soon open its eyes and the bears will be safe neath the heavenly skies’.

The symbols are Chinese writing that translate to Black Bear.

More herb flowers that can be used instead of bear bile extraction are placed decoratively inside the crescent. Constellations Ursa Major and Ursa Minor are floating in the gold of the background.
